To those who are new to this blog...

First I would like to say welcome, and I'm glad you decided to stop by.

As you can see in my first post, I originally reserved this blog to keep up the awareness that Casey Serin should be arrested for a multitude of various crimes.

However, I really don't want him arrested if he continues to work a steady job and make a steady income without chasing another "bright shiny thing". That's the best thing for taxpayers and the best thing for Casey.

But there's a pretty decent chance that something will eventually go astray in Casey's wobbly little brain that gets him fired. If not, a "bright shiny thing" is likely to come along and make Casey decide that a full-time job is not for him.

Do I think anything successful will come out of this blog if that happens? Not Casey's level of success, but REAL success?

Hell, I don't know. The chances are actually pretty high that nothing will come out of this.

But maybe something will happen. At the very least, maybe it will help prevent Casey Serin from committing another act of fraud for the umpteenth time. That, in itself, makes it worthwhile.

So please come back, and come back often. I will try to post as regularly as I can.

I do. The guy literally committed multi-million dollar frauds. He's avoided charges thus far solely because he lives in California, during a time in which seemingly one-third of the state population was committing egregious frauds like he was.

Put him in any other state, and he'd be in prison as we speak.

There's also a lot more going on behind the scenes at Casa De Serin than we realize. I don't think he got this latest job on a whim -- it's quite possible that he's feeling heat from various collectors, or that his entire family is in serious danger of losing their home. The whole family doesn't sound like the brightest bulbs in the box.

  2. I expect the result would also be the same in Florida, Nevada and Arizona. Lots of fraud in those states too.

The way I see it, the authorities are looking first for those people who either conspired with others to inflate the value of houses before unloading them on unsuspecting buyers, or finding straw buyers only to have their credit destroyed. In other words, the authorities are starting with people who played a direct role in destroying the wealth or credit of other individuals through fraud.

You can see that Casey ended up screwing over banks and other lenders by defaulting on his loans. And maybe a few brokers got screwed too, but most of them were willing to look the other way while their clients fudged their incomes. So there's less sympathy to go around.

Casey is in that middle ground between what I mentioned above vs. a borrower who signed a liar loan for a house but ended up living in the house.

  3. As long as anonymous commenting is permitted I'm afraid this blog will go down the troll hole too. Require users to sign in and you may be able to build a community, which would be nice.

  4. Either Dad said, "Get a job or get out", or the debt collectors came and Dad said, "Get a job or get out".

I think those few weeks in the van taught him a small lesson. It is cold, lonely, and very boring living in the woods. He's no longer interested in being homeless.

  5. I think this blog can survive without moderating. Traffic is already increasing since the winds of change indicated no new updates will be comming from Steve's blog.

On the other hand, I like the idea of requiring "membership" to read and post here for the announcements that could be made...

"arrestcaseyserin.blogspot.com now has over 100 members!"
"Steve Serin, Casey's brother, has now joined a web site seeking the arrest of Casey Serin"
"Even Casey Serin is now a member of the arrestcaseyserin web site"

  6. Kirk and Entertained: Your points are well taken and I will work on having everyone sign in for making posts. Now that Casey's brother's blog is going down, it seems to make sense now.
